Dingo had arrived yesterday and I was never more excited. When I found out that Rudy (My dad's friend) was getting out of horses (Yet AGAIN) and was willing to give me his prize stallion, well I guess you could say I was very very happy! Dingo let out a shrill neigh as I approached his stall and pranced in place. "Hey pretty boy." I cooed to him, letting him sniff me. He knew who I was since we had bonded a bit at Rudy's old farm, and nuzzled my hand. "Good boy." I put the lead line on his halter that had "Sugar High" engraved in gold on it. Sugar High was his show name that I just adored. I led him out to the cross-ties and started grooming his white coat that was speckled in black dots, giving him the classic leopard Appaloosa coloring. Once he was as shiny as shiny got, I stroked his neck and gave him a hug. He was quite calm for a stallion, and I loved him for it. I went to the tack room to grab my tack things and brought it back to Dingo. I put the dark brown saddle pad on him and then the black saddle on top of that. I tightened the cinch and then went and put on his dark blue bridle. Once I finished that I led him out of the stables and mounted. I rode him on the trails at a nice, relaxed pace.
